Beverlyns Apothecary, Orange & Calendula Body Oil is created with skin loving oils such as Calendula oil, Apricot Kernel, Jojoba, Rosehip and Jojoba Oils. It has a sweet orange smell that is perfect for any special occasion. The dried orange helps infuse the orange qualities and increase the fragrance over time while the calendula petals ensure that the oil keeps infusing with all the skin properties of calendula. Sweet orange essential oil is known to soothe dry irritated or acne prone skin.

Benefits of the ingredients:

Fractionated Coconut Oil Palm Free (Caprylic Capric Triglycerides): Our fractionated Coconut Oil has been used because it is an excellent emollient and rapidly penetrates the skin. Once it has penetrated it slows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin’s surface. This provides and maintains a beautiful smooth and lustrous after-touch when applied to the skin. Fractionated Coconut Oil is light and is easily absorbed.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis): The therapeutic actions of Calendula are anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, circulatory. Therefore Calendula can be used in treatment of inflammation and healing of skin injuries. It can also be used for enlarged and inflamed lymph nodes, sebaceous cysts, skin lesions, wounds, bruises, fungal infections, cold sores, boils, acne, sunburn, eczema, nappy rash, etc.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis): Sweet Almond Oil acts as a moisturiser and softens, soothes and nourishes the skin. It has regenerating, restructuring and moisturising properties and is recommended for dry and delicate skin, soothes rough and irritated skin.

Isopropyle Myristrate: is an emollient which has the ability to reduce the greasy feel caused by the oil content of this formulation. It gives the body oil a slicker, sheer feel rather than an oil one.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis): Jojoba is a liquid wax made up of esters of saturated and mono-unsaturated, fatty acid and fatty alcohols which gives Jojoba excellent stability and versatility. Jojoba is to sebum produced by our own skin and therefore is nourishing, protective and well-tolerated. It penetrates the skin easily and can help to reduce water loss through the skin by forming a protective film. It is an excellent emollient and moisturiser for young skin types as it helps to regulate sebum production and is non-comedogenic. Its excellent moisturizing and nourishing properties enables it to be uses on all skin types and in all skincare products.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil (Citrus sinensis): Sweet Orange helps soothe dry irritated or acne-prone skin. Sweet Orange has an uplifting and calming nature, perfect to soothe stress, low mood, nervous tension and sleeplessness.
